Overview
VistaOne’s Riverbed Evaluation Program affords a maximum 30-day no-risk approach to properly assessing the value of a Riverbed WAN acceleration deployment in your network infrastructure. As a component of the program, VistaOne provides access to all Riverbed hardware and software and as many as ten hours of Riverbed Certified Engineer (RCE) expertise, at no charge. Your organization is under no obligation to place an order for the Steelheads subsequent to the evaluation.
Upon receipt of your scope of work submittal, a VistaOne Riverbed-certified engineer will contact you to finalize an installation date and to establish procedures for remote access to the Steelhead devices. The installation date should coincide with a 5-10 day period that best allows you to invest approximately ten hours to work with our engineer evaluating the Riverbed equipment for potential purchase.
Process
1. VistaOne consults with you on the proper models to evaluate.
2. VistaOne places an order for your Steelhead evaluation equipment and advises you of tracking information. Expect an approximate two week turn-around from equipment order to installation date. (Should you decide to return the equipment, you must do so within 15 days following the 30-day evaluation. See "Terms" below.)
4. When the Steelhead appliances arrive, VistaOne will request two hours of your time to complete the physical installation and present an overview demonstration. We conduct this session via telephone and web-conference. Installation can be in-line or out of path.
5. Ultimately, we schedule a "results meeting" that provides enough time to "see" 100MB of data move through the Steelhead. The results meeting will demonstrate total optimized traffic, bytes saved, and equivalent throughput (e.g. one T1 performs like a 10MBps circuit).
6. VistaOne provides a comprehensive quote. You can keep the equipment or return it according to the terms below.
