By the time your organization is ready for an onsite evaluation, you will have consulted with VistaOne engineers about the problems you’ve experienced, the likely root cause of the issues and the topography of your network environment. The next step is a proprietary evaluation program with a scope of work borne of manufacturer and VistaOne experience and knowledge. The form below is your official agreement to initiate the recommended 30-day test.

VistaOne’s Riverbed Evaluation Program affords a maximum 30-day no-risk approach to properly assessing the value of a Riverbed WAN acceleration deployment in your network infrastructure. As a component of the program, VistaOne provides access to all Riverbed hardware and software and as many as ten hours of Riverbed Certified Engineer (RCE) expertise, at no charge. Your organization is under no obligation to place an order for the anything subsequent to the evaluation.
Upon receipt of your scope of work submittal, a VistaOne Riverbed-certified engineer will contact you to finalize an installation date and to establish procedures for remote access to the Steelhead devices. The installation date should coincide with a 5-10 day period that best allows you to invest approximately ten hours to work with our engineer evaluating the Riverbed equipment for potential purchase.
Outline of the Process
VistaOne has refined a collaborative process that helps you decide if the value of a solution tested in your environment warrants the investment. Click ‘Process’ below for a detailed look at the methodology.
1. VistaOne consults with you on the proper models to evaluate.
2. VistaOne places an order for your Riverbed evaluation equipment and advises you of tracking information. Expect an approximate two week turn-around from equipment order to installation date. (Should you decide to return the equipment, you must do so within 15 days following the 30-day evaluation. See "Terms" below.)
4. When the Riverbed appliances arrive, VistaOne will request two hours of your time to complete the physical installation and present an overview demonstration. We conduct this session via telephone and web-conference. Installation can be in-line or out of path.
5. Ultimately, we schedule a "results meeting" that provides enough time to gage results, for example: to "see" 100MB of data move through a Steelhead appliance. The results meeting will demonstrate total optimized traffic, bytes saved, and equivalent throughput (e.g. one T1 performs like a 10MBps circuit).
6. VistaOne provides a comprehensive quote. You can keep the equipment or return it according to the terms below.

VistaOne Corporation and Riverbed Technology, Inc. ("Riverbed") will provide Riverbed Steelhead appliances together with the accompanying software and documentation (collectively, "Evaluation Equipment") on an evaluation basis subject to the terms below. Additional terms from the Riverbed License Agreement will be shipped with the Evaluation Equipment (and may be reviewed at www.riverbed.com/license).
The trial period for the Evaluation Equipment is thirty (30) calendar days from the "Requested Install Date" referenced in Section 2 of the form at right.
Unless an extension to the evaluation period is agreed upon in writing beforehand, all Evaluation Equipment must be returned to VistaOne within 15 calendar days of the evaluation period end date. After 15 days, customer will be responsible for full payment of all Evaluation Equipment and no return will be accepted.
NOTE: If you choose to return the product, it must be returned in its original condition and packaging along with email notification of the shipping/tracking number to orderfulfillment@vistaone.com.
