Blue Coat Secure Web Gateway (Proxy SG)
Evaluation Program Scope of Work

Overview
VistaOne’s Evaluation Program (VEP-ProxySG) delivers a maximum 30 day no-risk test of the value of deploying Blue Coat Web proxy solutions in your network infrastructure. To support the VEP, VistaOne provides all Blue Coat hardware and software licenses (e.g. Web Filtering), plus up to 10 hours of Blue Coat Certified Engineer (BCCE) expertise at no charge. Your organization is under no obligation to place an order for the ProxySG (or anything else) at the end of the VEP.

VEP ProxySG
VEP ProxySGUpon receipt of your scope of work (SoW) submittal, VistaOne's BCCE will contact you to verify shipping information, finalize an installation date (see Section II below), and establish procedures for remote access to the Blue Coat SG device(s). The installation date should coincide with the seven-day period that best allows you to invest approximately ten hours to work with the VistaOne BCCE determining if Blue Coat is right for your network.

Process
1. You and VistaOne schedule one hour for the BCCE to speak with the engineer that will be implementing your VEP to explore your network topology, discuss placement of the SG unit and establish remote access and procedures. This session also confirms the specific feature sets to evaluate (Web filtering, anti-virus, spam filtering, QoS, etc).

2. VistaOne ships, and you receive, the Blue Coat appliance(s) and related installation materials approximately one week prior to the installation date.

3. A two-hour session completes the physical installation of the appliances with an overview demonstration of the Blue Coat interface and feature set. This session is conducted via telephone and web conference.

Note that the in-line installation typically requires less than one minute of network interruption. We'll perform a pre-test check to confirm all devices inter-operate correctly before measurements begin. This check will include (but not be limited to):

4. At Installation, the Proxy SG will be set to bypass mode (no optimization features enabled) for one (1) full representative day in your network. This will provide the baseline measurement of how the network is performing. The VistaOne BCCE reviews the reports and existing network performance to establish current-state performance baselines.

5. The BCCE conducts a two-hour web conference to review and concur on the baseline findings and to together enable the appropriate proxy policies. We'll cover SG report generation in this session as well.

6. We'll schedule thirty minutes per day over the ensuing five days to consult with the VistaOne BCCE for any fine-tuning needed (2.5 hours total). This five-day period is the critical time to establish the SG’s effectiveness in your environment.

7. To conclude, we'll schedule two hours for final presentation and decision making. If you choose to purchase the solution, the unit will be converted to a permanent license and VistaOne will continue helping you build upon the existing configuration used in the evaluation. If you chose not to purchase, you may retain all reports generated during the VEP for your benefit and return any hardware to VistaOne.
